IDOL (Yaoi) (Paperback) Review
I still have tears in my eyes after reading this story. It was a masterpeice. The art was gorgeous, and had this awesome glowing effect throughout. The story was magnificent. I’m sorry for not being more coherent. Damn, this really hit me. It was such an incredible build up. Like ups and downs. You know things are going to end bad with the artist and the hustler, but you just can’t stop reading. Like a car wreck.
I have to say that I loved the symbolism. When the hustler went after the guy who hurt the artist the top of the net around the bed made it look like their was a halo over his head. This was part of the angelic symbolism in the story. Then how the painting was broke into pieces when everything was shattered in both their lives. OMG! This was so good!
I’m a total fan of D&D now. I didn’t know who they were before this came out, sorry. But now that I’ve been introduced I’m going to get my hand on everything from them. They know how to craft a story. Pull you in, keep you hanging on. Also their artwork is UNNNN. When the hustler was topping the artist, just that seme/uke role-reversal was so hard-hitting and poignant.
I love this book!
